Description
The Federal Aviation Administration, Headquarters, Washington, DC, intends to award a brand-name mandatory purchase for a Spectrum Analyzer in support of the FAA Airway Facility located at the FAA's Technical Center, Atlantic City, NJ. The procurement is considered to be a brand name-mandatory purchase based on the proposed product's current use by FAA's engineering field representatives in responding to Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) solutions. The brand name product identified under this requirement is the Anritsu Spectrum Analyzer, Cable and Antenna; Model S332FAA. The Anritsu is desired to provide standardization and consistency for training purposes and continued use by field operatives. The desired delivery is thirty (30) days after receipt of order???FOB: Destination. Requirement: Anritsu S332FAA Spectrum Analyzer, Cable and Antenna 1 BX Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA's Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4 and AMS Procurement Guidance T3.2.2.8.A.5, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract via brand-name purchase order procedures and to conduct a market survey of interested sources under the requirement. Inquiries by interested vendors relating to this purchase must be submitted to the Contracting Officer, in writing, to: Kenneth.M.Carter@faa.gov, or via facsimile to: (202) 267-5420, no later than Friday, September 7, 2007, 12:00 p.m. (noon) EST. Note: In order to receive an award from the FAA, regardless of dollar value, vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA). For registration procedures and information, please call 1-888-227-2423, or visit the Business Partner Network (BPN) at www.bpn.gov. No further screening information request (SIR) or other postings will be issued as a result of this requirement. As such, interested vendors are encouraged to submit their pricing and delivery at the same time as their statement of interest submission. The anticipated award date under this requirement is 9/13/2007.
