- Notice of Contract Action for a Sole Source Procurement SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT OF six IEE-488 (General Purpose Interface Bus) and six 3 GHZ IF Modulation Inputs. DESC: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT TO ELCOM TECHNOLOGIES. The Air Force, Edwards Air Force Base, CA, intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Elcom Technologies, 11 Volvo Dr, Rockleigh NJ, 07020. These Modulation Inputs will be used to modify the six Elcom Radio Frequency Synthesizers previously purchased, in support of the overall Benefield Anechoic Facility Radio Frequency RF Signal Monitoring System at the Electronic Warfare Group, Edwards AFB, CA. NAICS is 334515. Small business size standard of 500 employees. The Sole Source purchase will be for the following items: MODEL: Line item 1:UFS-18, OPTION 112, IEE-488 (GPIB connector), qty 6, Manufactured by Elcom Line item 2:UFS-18, OPTION 113, 3 GHZ IF modulation input (GPIB connector), qty 6, Manufactured by Elcom Technologies DESCRIPTION: The 3 GHz loop provides for a high fidelity intra-pulse (HFIM) capability. The HFIM capability allows for phase and amplitude modulation within a radio frequency (RF) pulse, resulting in higher fidelity RF simulations required for test customers. The General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB) allows for external control and monitoring of the Elcom Synthesizers. Please note this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the required product. If this office has not received any affirmative written responses by 2:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, September 12, 2007, a sole source purchase order will be pursued with Elcom Technologies.
