- 1. THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE BUT RATHER, NOTIFICATION OF AN INDUSTRY DAY. The Naval Air Systems Command Aviation Support Equipment Program Office (PMA260) is hosting an Industry Day on 20 & 21 September 2007 at the Baltimore Convention Center, Room 314. Directions to the facility are available at www.bccenter.org. The purpose of the event is to provide industry with program insight and to solicit feedback from interested industry representatives regarding an initiative to replace existing U.S. Navy's Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Automated Test Equipment with a modernized replacement, commonly referred to as eCASS. We welcome industry participation to review and discuss issues and concerns related to the Government's technical requirements. 2. At 2PM on 20 September, we will provide an eCASS Program brief in Room 314 after which we will convene an open session for general discussion on issues and concerns. To alleviate seating constraints, please limit attendance to only pertinent personnel. Attached is a form that we request that industry use in its submission of questions. We request that any pre-industry day questions be emailed directly to points of contact as listed at the bottom of this announcement. Our intent is to respond to all questions received prior to industry day during the open session. Any questions that cannot be immediately answered at the open session should be submitted in writing utilizing pre-printed forms available herein and at the administration desk in Room 314. Any questions that a company considers proprietary should be marked as such and will be answered separately and handled appropriately. 3. PMA260 will reconvene from 8AM until 9AM on 21 September to provide answers/feedback on the submitted questions presented during the open session. If further time is necessary, answers to any remaining questions will be posted on FedBizOps at a later date. 4. Upon adjourning from the main forum at 9AM on 21 September, for those industry representatives who intend to perform as an eCASS prime contractor, PMA260 will host one-on-one sessions in Room 314 for the remainder of the day. Unfortunately, time constraints mandate that only those intending to perform as prime contractors be afforded a single one-on-one session. One-on-one sessions shall be limited to five industry representatives in attendance. Appointments for one-on-one sessions may be made by contacting Mrs. Carla Rowell at (301) 757-6890. All appointments should be scheduled no later than 12 September 2007, 11:30 A.M. EDT. After that date and time no further appointments will be scheduled. Our intent for the one-on-one is to have open communication with the understanding that all non-proprietary questions and responses generated during the one-on-one session will be provided to industry. Any proprietary questions will be noted and handled appropriately. The subject non-proprietary questions, responses and any additional Government program information that might be conveyed during one-on-one sessions shall be disseminated industry-wide via a follow-on FebBizOps posting.
