- This requirement is in support of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport MK 54 Torpedo Program. The solicitation number for this requirement issued as a request for proposal is N00253-07-R-0050. The requirement is for the following non-commercial items (to be procured under FAR Part 15): ELECTRIC INITIATORS, Drawing 5816541 REV K and associated drawings, and test specifications*. The requirement is for CLIN 0001: (50) each First Articles, CLIN 0002: Production Samples (30) each, CLIN 0003, Base Year Production Lot (300-500) each based on stepladder pricing, CLIN 0004, Option Year 1 (150-200) each based on stepladder pricing, CLIN 0005, Option Year 2 (150-200) each based on stepladder pricing; CLIN 0006, Option Year 3 (150-200) each based on stepladder pricing; CLIN 0007, Option Year 4 (150-200) each based on stepladder pricing; CLIN 0008 Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL)- A0001 INSPECTION SYSTEM PROGRAM PLAN and A0002 PRODUCTION LOT INSPECTION REPORT. The first articles shall be delivered 150 days after contract award, unless awarded to a proven source in which case the first article requirement may be waived. CLIN 0002 shall be delivered 150 days after First Article Test Acceptance or 150 days after contract award to a proven source; CLIN 0003 shall be delivered 150 days after production sample approval; CLIN 0004-0007 shall be delivered 150 days after option exercise; CLIN 0008-0009 shall be delivered as follows: A0001- INSPECTION SYSTEM PLAN 15 days after contract award and A0002- PRODUCTION LOT INSPECTION REPORT shall be delivered with each production lot. All stated deliveries are unless offeror proposes, and Government accepts a different delivery. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 332995 and it will be procured under full and open competition. Offers shall be FOB Origin for all items. Inspection will be at origin via DCMA and acceptance will be at destination. A period of 75 days will be required for acceptance of all items. The solicitation will be available for download on or around 19 September 2007. Contractors shall ensure current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (http://www.ccr.gov). A bidders list will not be maintained by this office, no paper copies of these RFP/amendments will be mailed. The RFP (request for proposal) will be posted electronically on the NECO website www.neco.navy.mil and FED BIZ OPPS website http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFP from these websites and to frequently monitor the sites for any amendments to the RFP. No telephone or fax requests for the RFP package will be accepted Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFP and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render vendor offer non-responsive and result in rejection of the same.
