- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the Format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Reference Number N624707RCB03FS is issued as a request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. This solicitation is Unrestricted. NAICS 423210. This requirement is for NAVFAC SE Facility located in Charleston, SC. Scope of Work Summary: Contractor will remove 41 cubicle workstations, components, and accessories from 2155 Eagle Drive facility. Work includes all required electrical disconnects. Contractor will transport 21 excess cubicle workstations, components, and accessories to the Naval Weapons Station Charleston DRMO. Contractor will re-install 20 cubicle workstations, components, and accessories (chairs, trash cans, etc?from 2155 Eagle Drive) in building 2 at NAS JAX. Contractor will re-fabric NAS JAX partitions with existing fabric. Contractor will reconnect electrical components. Contractor will remove executive desk system from SDIV and reinstall in building 2 at NAS JAX. Specific work plan: 1. Disassemble /remove from SDIV facility 41 cube spaces. This includes all systems furniture, shelving, wall panels (including glass panels). The corner and window offices, at west end of facility, have extended glass partitions. We may need to get other glass panels from other SDIV office spaces to ensure we have enough to provide 4 office spaces in JAX with high wall/glass extensions. 2. All electrical wiring will be properly secured after cubes have been removed from SDIV bldg. 3. Load and transport 23 cube spaces. This includes all systems furniture, shelving, wall panels (including glass panels), to NAS JAX, Bldg 2. This also includes 20 office trash cans and chairs. 4. Fully reassemble 20 cubes, all systems furniture, shelving, wall panels (including glass panels) in bldg 2 at NAS JAX. Assembly/installation work will include required electrical work to support cubicle electrical outlets and associated under shelving lighting. Electrical wiring tie in for JAX Bldg 2 will be available in ceiling, therefore; please consider appropriate equipment to connect to cubicles. Additionally, transport, reassemble 3 additional sets of modular furniture and accessories into 3 offices. 5. Contractor will re-fabric 23 NAS JAX partitions with existing fabric. 6. Disassemble from SDIV facility, wrap, and prepare for transport 1 executive desk system and Reassemble system in building 103 at NAS JAX. This includes high back leather chair. 7. 18 of the 41 cube spaces will be excessed to DRMO, this includes all systems furniture, shelving, and wall panels. Contractor will transport 18 excess cubes to Naval Weapons Station Charleston DRMO. Weapons Station is approximately 15-20 minutes from the SDIV Charleston building. Inventory List/Work Description: 41 Disassemble workstations, components and accessories, 23 (workstations) stretch wrap flipper shelves file cabinets, lights, other components to prevent damage and prepare for transport, 6 electrical disconnect and secure, 1 executive desk system (plus chair), dis-assemble, wrap, and prepare for transport, 23 sets, office chairs and trash cans, 2 -28 foot trailers, N. Charleston to Jacksonville, Florida plus staging and loading time, 23 space planning, bld 2 layout, 23 Re-install workstations, 23 re-fabric partitions with existing fabric, 6 power poles to 8 foot ceiling, 6 electrical re-connect, and 4 glass office extensions, 1 executive desk system (plus chair), re-assemble, 18 transport excess cubicles to Charleston scrap yard. Vendor must be an Authorized Dealer who distributes and installs Pleion Modular Furniture. Move must be completed between the 9th and 12th of October 2007.
