- This is the Naval Inventory Control Point synopsis for FY2008 orders placed under IDIQ contract for the repair/overhaul modification and reporting effort in support of three items of the AN/ARA-63 Tactical Landing Aircraft Systems and one item of the AN/APN-202 Automatic Carrier Landing System. Herley Industries, Lancaster PA (24469) is the Orginal Equipment Manuafacturer and the only known source to possess full repair capability. Complete data, drawings and the rights to the same arre not available from the Governement. The following are the top 3 high dollar value tiems for repair: Electronic Component P/N 01A223090-21-11, NSN 5998-01-052-0552; Electronic Component P/N 01A223090-21-12, NSN 5999-01-116-4672; Receiver Subassembly P/N 01A223025-21-11, 5995-01-052-0545. For a complete list of all items to be repaired or any questions concerning this notice, contact Dori A. Walsh 215-697-6560. The subject times requires Government source approval prior to contract award, as the items are flight critical and/or the technical data available has not been determnined adequate to support repair via full and open competition. Only the source previously approved by the government for repair of these items has been solicited. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposalm the informaiton detailed in the "http://www.neco.navy.mil/sar.cfm" U.S. Navy Avaition Supply Office Source Approval Informaiton Brouchure. This brouchure identitifes technical data required to be submitted based on your company's experience in repair of the same or similar items. This brochure can be obtained by call NAVICP-P at (215)697-4243. If your request for source approal is currently being avaluated at NAVICP-P submit with your offeer a copy of the cover letter that forwarded your request for source approval. Offers received which fail to provide all data required by the Source Approval Brouchure or document previous submission of all data required by the Source Approval Brochure will not be considerd for awrd under this solicitation. Please note, if evaluation of a source approval request submitted hereeunder connot be processed in time and/or approval requirmenets preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time to meet government requiremnts, award of the subject requirment may contimue based on Fleet support needs.
