CONTRACT DUE DATE IS HEREBY EXTENDED UNTIL 1700 HOURS ON SEPTEMBER 12, 2007. SEE AMENDMENT ONE, TO BE PUBLISHED ON THIS SITE TODAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2007. CONTRACTOR'S WHO HAVE ALREADY SENT A PROPOSAL MUST STIILL ACKNOWLEDGE THE AMENDMENT, AND SUBMIT THE NEW PRICING SHEET. OFFERS ARE TO BE ADDRESSED TO THE CONTRACTING OFFICER, USDA, USFS, SPRING MOUNTAINS NATIONAL RECREATION AREA, 4701 N. TORREY PINES DRIVE, LAS VEGAS, NV 89130. Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest is seeking qualified construction contractors to perform the following work on a firm-fixed price Time and Materials based contract. The estimated price range for the total project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This project is to remove slide material from Wolf Creek Road Slide. Slide material is to be removed from roadway, shoulder and ditchline. Ditchline is to be re-established so that water will flow from the slide site. Excavated material will be hauled to waste site as designated by CO. Remove and stockpile topsoil from waste site. Material in the waste site will be compacted and graded to blend with existing ground to ensure adequate drainage. Spread stockpiled topsoil over waste material and scatter slash over the topsoil. The bench system will be re-established by excavation and removal of slide material. Boulders and large rocks will be salvaged and stockpiled in location designated by CO for use in re-establish drainage. Use cold mix asphalt concrete in road repairs. Install culvert at location designated by CO. An Offer Guarantee is required in the amount 20% of the total bid.

Address: Carson Ranger District of the Humbolt-Toiyabe National Forest. It is approximately 13 miles south of Markleville, CA. Travel south from Markleeville on CA Hwy 4. Exit Hwy 4 at the Wolf Creek Road Exit.
