Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a fixed-priced purchase order for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The proposed purchase order is for relocation of various contents of the HUD office in New Orleans, LA. If you are interested in providing these services as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW) below, you must submit a quotation to Debra Gill in HUD Contracting by 8 am Eastern time, Monday, September 10, 2007. You may submit the quotation by email to Debra.S.Gill@hud.gov by fax to (404) 730-3426. The purchase order will contain all clauses currently prescribed for contracts for commercial items by FAR Subpart 12.6 through FAR Circular 2005-12. SOW: The realignment of the HUD office located in the Hale Boggs Federal Building, 500 Poydras Street, 9th floor, New Orleans, LA 70130 will be completed in two (2) phases. Each phase will consist of moving a number of employees out of their current space and then back into that space at a later date. Phase 1 of the realignment project will consist of moving approximately 20 employees. Phase 2 of the realignment project will consist of moving approximately 50 employees. Phase 1 will start on September 14, 2007. The contractor will receive a week?s notification of the date for the employees to be returned to their original space under Phase 1. The contractor will receive a week's notification of the start of Phase 2, and a week?s notification of the date for the employees to be returned to their original space under Phase 2. Furniture, equipment, and boxes will be moved from the 9th floor of the Hale Boggs Federal Building to the following locations: - the opposite end of the 9th floor. - the 11th floor of the Hale Boggs Federal Building - the 1st and 8th floors of the F.E. Hebert Federal Building, located at 600 S. Maestri Place, New Orleans, LA. - Warehouse space located at FSS Depot Office & Garage, located at 400 Edwards Ave.,Harahan, LA (approximately 10.2 miles from the HUD office) Items moved to the warehouse space will remain there. The work will include the following: - Moving approximately 100 file cabinets (verticals and laterals). - Deinstalling and moving (reinstall) approximately 20 rotary file units. - Movng approximately 75 pieces of other freestanding furniture (to include tables,credenzas, desks, bookcases, etc.). - Moving approximately 100 chairs. (Only 90% of the chairs will be moved back.) - Moving and discarding 2 heavy safes. - Moving break-room appliances to include 1 full size refrigerator, microwave ovens, and water coolers. - Moving office equipment to include approximately 70 computers (including monitors),approximately 10 fax machines, and approximately 5 shredders. - Moving approximately 1,000 boxes (which will be provided by the successful vendor). Quotations should be submitted with prices as follows: 1. One lump sum price for the total moves for both phases, but not including items 2 and 3 below. 2. One lump sum price for delivering 1000 boxes and labels to the HUD office. 3. One lump sum price for packing and unpacking approximately 100 file cabinets. Offerors should also submit a proposed fixed price hourly labor rate for some possible furniture movement in addition to the phased moving, e.g., moving file cabinets around in the 11th floor "swing" space at the Boggs Federal Building, moving other items determined to be excess to the warehouse space, etc. The contractor should be available to provide such assistance with 24 hours notification.
