Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. For solicitation number VA256-07-RQ-0247, award will be made using the simplified acquisition procedures part 13.5. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-19. The North American Industry Classification System # 334516 and the small business are 500 employees. (1). The acquisition is for the purchase of 1 each of Beckman Multimek 96 Automated 96-Channel Pipettor- Specifications: Six (6) position work surface 96- Channel disposable tip, disposable head ( LowVolume-5 oul) Mulltimek Pro Software Air Supply: 80-85 PSI at 2.1 CFM; Dry and free of oil and moisture. Note: Pressurized air is required for automatic tip loading and for fixed tip heads. Includes the following: - PC workstation, system software, operational accessories, fully serviced and tested. Custom packaging and Delivery. 90 day parts and labor warranty. (Brand name), equal or better (2). Installation by a trained service engineer - 1 svc. . If or equal, supply adequate information to determine whether the equal can be used. The quoter shall provide pricing and warranty information on the above listed equipment/supplies. Delivery is to be made to Chief, A&MMS, VA Medical Center, 4300 West 7th Street, Little Rock, AR 72205. Delivery of equipment is desired between September 25, 2007 and October 19, 2007. Inspection and acceptance is at the VA Medical Center, Little Rock, AR. Quote shall specify FOB, VA Medical Center, Little Rock, AR (Destination). The provisions at FAR 52.212 1, Instructions of Offeror Commercial Items (Sept 2006) applies to this acquisition. There is an addenda to these provisions. Add the following provisions: FAR 52.252-1, Solicitation Provisions Incorporated by Reference (Feb 1998), This solicitation incorporates one or more solicitation provisions by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. If offering an equal product, the vendor must submit documentation of the product with the quote. Quotes must be in writing and accompanied by a completed Representations and Certifications (FAR 52.212-3) dated Aug 2007. Award will be made to the offeror whose quote conforms to the requirements of this solicitation; best meets the needs of the Government, all factors being considered. Award may be made without discussions.
