- This is a notice that the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), a sole source purchase order with Tecniplast USA, Inc., 180 Gordon Drive, Exton, PA. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA-261-07-RQ-0279 and is issued as an unrestricted request for quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code is 424610 and the size standards is 100 employees. VISN 21 San Francisco Veterans Affairs Animal Research Facility (ARF) has a requirement to procure additional ventilated rodent caging equipment to accommodate the increasing animal population. The products purchased must be compatible with the existing VA-owned Tecniplast Caging System. More than 97% of the existing cages currently in use at the ARF are Tecniplast and can not be accommodated in any other rack system. Other rodent cages and equipment on the market are not compatible with the existing Tecniplast system. The equipment required is as follows: CLIN 01 - Four (4) each Ventilated Sealsafe Mouse Rack, Model 2L126MAC30CAP, with the following components: 2L126MAC30CA-Ventilated Sealsafe Mouse Rack; ACSCVF70M130R-Flexible Hose-1, 3 MT Long (2PCS/Rack); 1285L00SUV-Polysulfone Cage Bodies; 1284L189-Stainless Steel Lid with Nylon Seal; 1284L441SU-Polysulfone Sealsafe Cage Top; ACBT0262SU-260 ML Bottle with Silicone Ring; ACCP6521-Stainless Steel Sipper Tube-65 MM Nozzle;ACPC0065PL-Plastic Top Load Cage Card Holder. CLIN 02 - Additional Cage Setups (178 Each) - Model 1285L with the following components: 1285L00SUV - Polysulfone Cage Bodies; 1284L189 - Stainless Steel Lid with Nylon Seal; 1284L441SU - Polysulfone Sealsafe Cage Top; ACBT0262SU - 260ML Bottle with Silicone Ring; ACCP6521 - Stainless Steel Sipper Tube - 65MM Nozzle; ACPC0065PL - Plastic Top Load Cage Card Holder; CLIN 03 - One (1) each Model 9CACGBS48US Biosafety changing station BS-48 (115V-60 HZ) CLIN 04 - One (1) each 9CACGBS48LF Mobile Base with Lift system. CLIN 05 - Seven (7) each Touch Slimline Plus Equipment Trolley, Model Box 110SS with supply and exhaust fan units, HEPA filters, prefilters, and temperature and humidity display. CLIN 06 - One (1) each 9CACGBS48BS Adjustable Height Self Standing Support. Delivery, acceptance and FOB Destination point: is VAMC San Francisco, 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94121. Provisions and Clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-18. The follow Solicitation Provisions/Contract Clauses are applicable: FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (Sep 2005), FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (Sept 2006). For the purpose of this clause items (b) 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24 with Alt I, and 32 are considered checked and apply, and VAAR 852.270-4 Commercial Advertising (Nov 1984).
