Randall, 661-277-8450 (fax) 661-277-0470 DESC: The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Visual Instrumentation, 1110 W. Avenue L-12, Unit 2, Lancaster, CA 93535-7039. Visual Instrumentation is the only company nationwide that distributes and sells this type of camera lens. Visual Instrumentation owns its proprietary data. This is a custom-made camera lens designed specifically to produce an image circle size of 28mm. Additional features include: heavy duty mechanical design and construction for very Hi-g applications such as: crash testing, impact sled, airborne and related testing environments. Avatar lens optics feature high-efficiency multi-layer coatings with digital resolution that exceeds 6-millin pixels. In addition, both focus and aperture rings feature 360 degrees clamps locks. REQUIREMENTS UQ Avatar 10.5mm f/2.8 Hi-g Lens for DRS model LTTC high-speed airborne digital video camera, quantity 6 each and UQ Precision Flange Mount to fit DRS model LTTC digital cameras, quantity 6 each. Ship Date: 30 Days ARO. FOB: Destination Edwards AFB CA 93524. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is September 2007. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, 10 September, 2007.
