All eyelets receiving bushings shall be bored to insure a .004 to .006 shrink fit of the bushings. The eyelets that include bolt holes for bolting pins in place shall only be bored deep enough, from the opposite side of the bolt holes, to accept the new bushing. All clamshell bucket parts will be thoroughly greased through the newly installed and existing grease zerks during and after final assembly and testing of the clamshell bucket operation. Drawings and specifications for all work done by the bidder will be provided to the government; i.e. final diameters and depths of all eyelets welded and bored, dimensions and locations of all bushings fabricated and shrink fitted into eyelets, dimensions of steel plate shims and specifications of the oil seals pressed into the hydraulic cylinder eyelets. Off-the-shelf, commercially available bushings may b e used, instead of fabricating these items, if they meet the requirements of the specifications. The reassembled bucket, as shown in drawings and photos, and bucket spindle with assembled crosshead mounting pin, will be shipped back to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The approximate dimensions and weights of the individual bucket pieces are: left half bucket, 6L x 4W x 3H, 2,300lbs.; right half bucket, 6L x 4W x 3H, 2,200lbs.; two bucket links, 35 L x 6W x 1T, 50lbs. each; two hydraulic cylinder s, 2.5L x 6D, 170lbs. each; bucket frame, 40W x 39H x 36W, 1,250lbs.; bucket spindle, 26L x 22W x 21H, 600lbs; two pins, 39L x 3D, 80lbs. each; two pins 13 1/8L x 2.5D, 18lbs.each; two pins 11 7/8L x 2.5D, 17lbs. each; four pins, 6.5L x 2D, 6lbs. each; Grade 8 bolts and lock nuts, bushings and shims; size and weight are negligible.
