Description

DOI, Bureau of Reclamation, Region 8, Denver Colorado intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract with Wells Resource Inc. for follow-on work of similar and unique services perviously suppled under separate contracts for production of an interpretive PowerPoint presentation and interpretive training module. In addition, the Contractor produced Reclamation's Visitor Center Guidelines and was the primary Contractor for the Hoover Dam Visitor Center restoration project. All these contracts and services had requirements for the Contractor to understand Reclamation's mission and its specific interpretive needs and requirements in informing and educating the public who visit Reclamation recreation areas and numerous visitor centers. In addition, the Contractor has detailed knowledge of Reclamation's Visual Identity Program (VIP) standards. The Contractor's familiarity with Reclamation natural resource programs and associated interpretive needs and requirements and the VIP standards ensures cost efficiency. Only Dr. Wells has the overall knowledge, understanding, and background information that are unique to Reclamation. This will allow Dr. Wells to complete all of the above-mentioned services for Reclamation on time and in an economically efficient manner. The proposed solicitation is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one responsible source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their capability to respond to the requirement via email to evelasquez@do.usbr.gov. Telephone requests will not be honored. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed action is based on the responses to this notice and will be based solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
