- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and in accordance with FAR part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This Solicitation HE1254-07-T-0047 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Robotics Software Kits. (iii) This Solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-19, August 17, 2007. (iv) The applicable North American Industry Classification System code is 423999 and the corresponding size standard is 100 employees. The Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program does not cover this procurement. (v) CLIN 0001 ? EDUCATIONAL ROBOTICS KITS ? QUANTITY 21 EACH, CLIN 0002 ? EDUCATIONAL ROBOTICS SOFTWARE & SITE LICENSE ? QUANITTY 21 EACH, CLIN 0003 SHIPPING ? QUANTITY 1 LOT. (vi) Description of Requirement/Statement of Work: SCOPE OF WORK - The Contractor(s) shall provide Robotics Engineering software & equipment listed for approximately 20 schools, 3 Area offices, and DoDEA Headquarters. All equipment listed below shall interface with Windows XP. All equipment shall have appropriate supporting software explaining their use in the science classroom. The Contractor(s) shall provide Educational Robotics kit that contains the following: Rechargeable lithium battery and charger, 3 servo motors, Light Sensor, Ultrasonic Sound Senor, Sound Senor, Touch Sensors, At Least Three Rotation Sensors That Are Built Into The Motors, Three Converter Cables (For Use With The Sensors), Seven Connector Cables (One .2m, Two .5m And Four .35m), Three Lamps, One USB Cable, Hundreds of Technical building Elements, Storage Bin with Sorting Trays, and Education Software and Site License for robot programming. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS ? The Contractor shall provide site license and software that is Section 508 compliant, requirements may be found at the following URL: http://www.section508.gov/. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS ? There will be a Post-award Teleconference: An initial teleconference shall occur between the COR and the Contractor(s) seven days after receipt of order. (vii) Date(s) and place(s) of delivery and acceptance and FOB point: Delivery is 21 Days after receipt of order at FOB Destination. Offerors are instructed to call the Contract Specialist listed in the notice for a list of addresses in order to propose on CLIN 0003 ? SHIPPING. (viii) The following provision applies to this acquisition: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.212-1 entitled Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial. The following provision is being added as an Addendum: FAR 52.214-31 Facsimile Bids/Quotes. (ix) The following provision does not apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-2 entitled Evaluation -- Commercial Items. Award will be based on the best value to the Government, considering price and other non-price factors. (x) Offers are to include a completed copy of provision FAR 52.212-3 entitled Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items. Also if your company is a vendor not registered to do business with the Government, check web address: <http://www.dlis.dla.mil/ccr> and provide company?s CAGE Code with offer. (xi) The following provision does apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-4 entitled Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items. (xii) The following clause is applicable to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-5 entitled Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items. The following FAR Clauses within the aforementioned clause are being selected as applicable: 52. 203-6, 52.219-8, 52.222-3, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-50, 52.225-1, 52.225-13, 52.232.33. In addition the following clauses apply to this acquisition: DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor (CCR) Registration and DFARS 252.212-7001 are applicable to this requirement. (xiii) There are no additional contract requirement(s) or terms and conditions necessary for this acquisition that are consistent with customary commercial practices. (xiv) There is not a Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) number assigned to this acquisition. (xv) No numbered notes are associated with this acquisition.
