- Description
- The US Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command intends to procure items for a multi-radio network in a laboratory environment which requires cables, attenuators, terminators, cable adapters, and power dividers. The following cables will assist in the laboratory setup of radios and test equipment. Cables PE3062-12, PE3062-24, PE3062-36, PE3062-48, PE3062-60, PE3062-72, PE3062-120, PE3062-180, PE3062-300, PE3062-600 will allow radios and test equipment to be interc onnected. Various lengths were selected to maximize flexibility in setting up several laboratory arrangements. To assist in interconnection an assortment of adapters are needed to add to the versatility of the cables. Adapter PE9086 Type N elbow allows for the hard wire of test equipment and will eliminate noise. Other adapters such as PE9006, PE9007, PE6016, PE9383, and PE9002 will simply augment the cables listed above and allow for extensions if necessary. To facilitate the interconnection of radios the following attenuators are necessary to adequately protect test equipment and other radios from inadvertent high power transmissions. The attenuators selected are all 30 dB with Type N connecters and are liste d as, 25 Watt PE7017-030, 50 Watt PE7019-030, 100 Watt PE7021-030, and finally 300 Watt PE7031-030. The higher rated attenuators such as PE7031-030 will allow complete performance testing of radio power amplifier performance as several radio power amplifie rs produce over 20 watts of power and others produce over 100 watts of power. Power dividers will also be needed to perform the combination or interconnection of radios and test equipment. The PE2046 8 Way power divider and PE2045 4 way power divider will accomplish the cable interconnections necessary. Terminators will be needed to properly isolate a radio and test its operation without affecting any other radio or piece of test equipment. Attenuators PE6009 and PE6032 will accomplish this goal for low pow er radios while PE6042 and PE6106 will provide for high power radio scenarios. It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price Contract will be awarded on contract W15P7T-07-C-P452 on a sole source basis to Pasternack Enterprises, Airport Business Center, PO BOX 16759 Irvine, CA 92623 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 23041(c)(1) Only One Responsible Source, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) has established a Industry Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) website to allow electronic transmittal of Request for Proposals (RFPs) from CECOM to Industry. All parties interested in doing business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive information from the Business Opportunity Page at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil.
