This Procurement will be conducted under FSC CODE: Z216, SIC CODE: 1629, NAICS Code: 237990. The size standard for this code is $18.5 Million. Information about the time and location of the pre-proposal conference and/or site visit will be found in Section 00100 of the specifications. TYPE OF AWARD: Firm-Fixed Price DESCRIPTION: Project consists of dredging of LARE channel leading to Queens Way Marina, approximately 300,000 cubic meters, dependent upon funding. Approximately 70,000 cubic meters to be placed within Slip G at the Port of Long Beach. 100,000 cubic me ters disposal in nearshore. Remaining material to be placed at Ocean Disposal site LA-2. All bids are due not later than October 23, 2007/1:00 pm PST, at which time bid opening will occur. The acquisition method is sealed bidding. Subcontracting plan s are required for all construction contracts awarded to a large business when the award amount exceeds $1,000,000.00. If the successful bidder is a large business, they will be required to submit a subcontracting plan upon request. The Los Angeles Dist rict subcontracting goals are specific percentages of the contractors total planned subcontract amount. The goals are as follows: 51.2% with Small Business, 8.8% with Small Disadvantaged Business, 7.3% with Women Owned Small Business, 3% with Veteran Ow ned Small Business, 1.5% with Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and 3.1% with HUBZone Small Business. All interested contractors are reminded that the successful contractor will be expected to place subcontracts to the maximum practicable exte nt with small and disadvantaged firms in accordance with the Provisions of Public Law 95-507.
