- Description
- It is the intent of the Forest Service to award a sole source procurement for the retrofitting of a Government-owned bridge to the original manufacturer. We are proposing that Hamilton Construction retrofit an existing Forest Service owned Hamilton EZ Bridge, serial number 80R16, to add a railing system meeting 50 percent of AASHTO 17th Edition railing load requirements and full railing geometry, including a curb system or a deep railing - thrie beam - system. Replace existing timber decking as necessary to meet AASHTO 17th Edition requirements for HS25 loading. In order to meet the necessary safety requirements and maintain a fully warranted product, the work must be done by the original manufacturer. Work completed by any other party nullifies the product guaranty, including inventory and overload load ratings, structural capacity, factors of safety and material treatments.
