- SCOPE OF WORK Intent of Contract: The intent of this contract is to provide the U.S. Coast Guard with vibration dampers on board the USCGC Healy (Ice Breaker) to stabilize racks during the ice breaking periods in which vibrations are transmitted through the ship deck and into the network server racks that are secured to the interior ship deck. The current coiled cable isolators are to be replaced with the new vibration dampers. Contractor is to provide nine (9) Marine Vibration Isolators to support two (2) 19? racks which hold all the servers for the Network onboard the USCGC Healy along with labor to assemble the units and putting them into position by the manufacturer representative to mount to the deck and the 19? racks. THIS SOLICITATION INCORPORATES PROVISIONS AND CLAUSES IN EFFECT THROUGH FEDERAL ACQUISITION CIRCULAR 2005-06. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICICTATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED.********This is a solicitation for vibration dampers for the U.S. Coast Guard Coast Guard Cutter Healy, Seattle, WA 98134. The U.S. Coast Guard requires a contractor fully qualified in the field of Vibration Protection for Computer Equipment. Contractor is required to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and incidentals to this project. The estimated cost range is between $5,000 and $100,000. This acquisition is issued as a 100% small business set-aside.
