- The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System, Tucson, AZ 85723 intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price contract with McKesson Automation Inc., 500 Cranberry Woods Dr, Cranberry Township, PA 16066-5224 on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 for the purchase of a PacMed ARP-350SL (Robot-Rx Ready) Unit, Singulator Unit, Envelope Delivery System Unit. v. 6.7 Software Upgrade existing system, Maintenance (One year), and turnkey Installation/Implementation/Transportation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423450. Firms who wish to identify their interest and capability to provide an alternate system which will meet the capabilities and functionality described above may notify the Contracting Officer in writing, no later than 3:00 PM PST on September 17, 2006. Such notification must include a complete description of proposed equipment, including narrative and specifications, and must demonstrate that it meets or exceeds the capabilities described above. Notification shall be mailed to John Avvampato (678/9-90C), Contracting Officer, 3601 S 6th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85723. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System will proceed with the sole source negotiation with McKesson Automation, Inc. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or request for quotes.
