- The United States Geological Survey, Arizona Water Science Center intends to make a non-competitive award to Zonge Engineering and Research Organization in Tucson, Arizona for items to upgrade a currently owned GDP-32 receiver to conduct controlled-source audio magnetotelluric (CSAMT) surveys. These items include data collection channels, antennas, and processing software that are only available and compatible with Zonge Engineering and Research Organization. The upgrade includes additional receiver channels, two receiver antennas, ten porous-pot electrodes, two power cable reels and wire, data-processing software and 1-d model inversion software. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and the procedures of FAR Part 12, entitled, "Acquisition of Commercial Items." Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish these services may submit a capabilities statement to the Contract Specialist no later than the closing date of this announcement at 17:00 local time. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunities exist. If no competitive opportunities exist, request for quotation (RFQ ) 07WRQQ0134 will be made available to Zonge Engineering and Research Organization through the Government-wide Point of Entry (GPE) on or about September 13, 2007 in accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(1). All responses must be in writing by email to the Contract Specialist at sklingler@usgs.gov. This notice and any resulting solicitation or contract conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-18, effective 05 July 2007.
