Description
This amendment/modification is to provide questions and answers to include layout. 1. Question: Will this job require installation? Answer: YES 2. Question: Is there an option for a galvanized product? Answer: YES 3. Question: Will the ?Buy American Act? form a part of this solicitation? Answer: Yes. 4. Question: Request to provide layout of the future system to determine how many uprights are single row in order to verify the need for cross-aisle ties or oversized footplates. We need to know the beam levels for each bay to determine if we need to double our columns and to what height? Answer: Attached layout downloaded. 5. Question: Height of First shelve level above floor, is beam capacity 5,000lbs per level ? or per beam? Answer: PER LEVEL 6. Question: Where is the average pallet weight(for example, they may have an occasional pallet weighing 5,000lbs, but most pallets weigh 1,000lbs)? Answer: NOT ALL PALLET WEIGH 1K LBS BUT NO MORE THAN 5K LBS 7. Question: Are all the frames/uprights to be tied together back-to-back? (The calculations will confirm that 2 row spacers per pair of uprights is sufficient). Answer: YES 8. Question: The wire decking- confirm the weight capacity per deck (eg: 2 decks per storage level for 5,000 lbs per shel/level is 2500lbs)? Answer: Layout provided. 9. Question: We would also like to verify that all the pallet racking will be back to back and that the uprights should have a capacity of 38k but the total capacity will 15k base upon three levels at 5K per bay? Answer: YES 10. Question: Will each level be evenly spaced on the uprights? Answer: YES 11. Question: The capacity on the uprights will depend on the beam spacing. I would need to know what beam spacing you would use. Example where will your first beam level be at? Answer: Layout provided. 12. Question: What we are asking is that the specifications list that the upright should support 38/k capacity and the beams to have 5/K capacity? When we calculate the total number of beams and uprights we estimate that you will be using three pair pf beams per bay (two uprights). That each pair of beams will be evenly spaced on the upright. Hence the total capacity required is 15/K. Answer: YES, layout provided.
