- This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-19. FISC San Diego is announcing its intent to issue a directed sole source procurement to Hill-Rom under authority of FAR 6.302-1 for the installation of a Nurse Call System in the Multi Service Ward, at the Naval Hospital, Bldg. 1145, Twenty Nine Palms, CA 92278. The contractor shall begin installation within ten (10) days after the date of contract award, unless directed otherwise, and complete the entire work not later than 60 calendar days after the required commencement of work. The period of performance includes final clean-up of the job site. The new system will interface with the current system located in the Maternal Infant Delivery Ward. The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to perform the scope of work. The contractor shall install the new nurse call system using current infrastructure. The new system shall be compatible with current patient beds. The new system will be in patient bathrooms, and will update on room status boards. The contractor will also update the current controller to accept additional inputs from the Multi Service Ward. The contractor shall perform all work necessary to complete the contract in a satisfactory and acceptable manner, in full compliance with the specifications and terms of the contract, and adhere to all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations, including all environmental regulations. The contractor should note that the work area shall be left in a neat and orderly manner, with all debris being picked up at the end of each workday. The contractor shall remove all debris associated with the performance of this contract from the Combat Center and dispose at a landfill approved by the County of San Bernadino for the acceptance of such waste. The contractor shall notify the Multi-Service Ward 24 hours prior to starting work. The contractor shall adhere to the submitted schedule unless prior written notification is provided and approved. The contractor shall also provide 24 hours notice prior to arrange for final inspection. Telephone number will be provided in final contract. All work must be performed during normal working hours, which are 0730 ? 1600. All work scheduling must be coordinated with the Multi-Service Ward staff. The requirement is for a firm fixed price services contract. The applicable NAICS code for this action is 334290 with a size standard of 750 employees.
