Description
NAICS Code: 336212 Amendment #1 Technical Questions and Answers Question 1: Due to the extensive requirements set forth in the RFQ, can the deadline for submission of a quote be extended to allow sufficient time for the manufacturer to supply a line-item estimate? Answer: Yes, the due date for quotations has been extended to September 19, 2007 NLT 12:00PM (EDT) Question 2: Due to the estimated weight of the trailer and cargo, and the requirement for an extended warranty, what type of vehicle is proposed to tow the trailer? Answer: The EPA intends to use a dual-axle, four-wheel drive truck equipped with a 15,000 lb frame conventionally-mounted hitch receiver and a heavy duty suspension package. The truck will also be equipped with an integrated trailer brake controller. Question 3: Can the EPA provide a sketch that indicates the location and intended installation, for the required crane mount and item #35, the 15 vertical pipes? Answer: Please submit a request via email to Scott Fogle at fogle.scott@epa.gov for the "Trailer interior top view" and "Flange detail" via PDF files which provide an overhead view of the trailer, depicts the approximate location of the 15 sampling ports and the crane mounting plate. Question 4: Is there a specification for electrical supply to the service panel? Answer: The EPA shall be responsible for providing electrical service to the installed panel after the trailer is delivered. Construction of the trailer shall only include installation of a 2" floor-mounted electrical conduit hub in the vicinity of the service panel. Question 5: Can the EPA provide a profile sketch which indicates the 4 foot taper described in item #28? Answer: Please submit a request via email to Scott Fogle at fogle.scott@epa.gov for a general schematic of this feature "Trailer side view" via PDF file.
