Description
PROPOSER'S DAY CONFERENCE DARPA will host a Proposer's Day Workshop in support of the anticipated Hyperadsorptive Atmospheric Sampling Technology (HAST) BAA on September 20, 2007 at Schafer Corp, 3811 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22203 from 8:30 - 16:00. The purpose of this conference is to provide information on the HAST program; promote additional discussion on atmospheric sampling; address questions from potential proposers; and provide a forum for potential proposers to present their capabilities for teaming opportunities. PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION: The objective of the HAST program is to develop systems that permit exhaustive, accurate, and economical collection of atmospheric trace constituents to support chemical mapping of urban and military environments. The system, which integrates three technical components, will demonstrate materials, packaging, and extraction technologies that sample atmospheric impurities whose concentration ranges from 10 parts per trillion to 100 parts per million by volume from 100 liter-atmospheres of gas in less than five minutes. In the second phase, a complete system that weighs less than one kilogram including power, indexing for one hundred samples, and GPS geolocation will be demonstrated. A website, www.schafertmd.com/HAST, has been established to facilitate the formation of teams that may choose to respond to the HAST BAA. Networking and team formation are the responsibility of the participants and are not controlled by DARPA. Documents uploaded onto this site can be viewed and downloaded by all registered site users. Only documents marked with 'unlimited distribution' statements will be accepted for posting on this site. The contents of the site are the responsibility of the poster. Neither DARPA nor the Department of Defense (DoD) endorses information posted by outside individuals or organizations, nor does DARPA or the DoD exercise any responsibility for those contents. Attendees may submit no more than 4 powerpoint slides in advance for distribution at the Proposer's Day Workshop. Again, only documents marked with 'unlimited distribution' statements will be accepted for posting on this site. REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Participants must register no later than 17:00 EST on September 17, 2007, at the following website: www.schafertmd.com/HAST. Directions to the facility and other materials are also available on the website. There is no registration fee for attending this conference. Attendance will be limited to the first 50 registrants, with no more than 2 representatives per organization due to space limitations in the conference facility. The Proposer's Day will be unclassified and open to the general public. All attendees will be required to present government issued photo identification upon entry to the event. Additionally, all US Citizens are required to submit a US Citizenship Verification form in order to attend this conference. Non-US citizens are required to submit a DARPA Form 60 "Foreign National Visit Request." The completed Citizenship Form or DARPA Form 60 must be faxed to: Ms. Beverly Sobel, Schafer Corp., fax 703-807-4971 (phone 703-248-1528) no later than September 17, 2007. Both documents are available for download at the registration website. NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE CONTRACTING OFFICER IDENTIFIED BELOW WITH RESPECT TO THIS PROPOSER'S DAY ANNOUNCEMENT, BUT INSTEAD ADDRESS ALL INQUIRIES AS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED HEREIN. In the event that there is a discrepancy between information posted here and on www.fbo.gov, the FedBizOpps site takes precedence.
