- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS for market research purposes. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. INFORMATION RECEIVED WILL BE USED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST), Acquisition Management Division (AMD), on behalf of the Police Services Group, is seeking Contractors and/or Government Agencies who have active Contract vehicles, Basic Ordering Agreements, or Blanket Purchase Agreements, for the supply of ammunition, which allow use by outside Agencies. Specifically, NIST has a requirement to purchase .357 SIG. 125 gr., approximately 4247 rounds per quarter; .223 caliber or 5.56x45 NATO 62 gr., approximately 480 rounds per quarter; .308 caliber or 7.62 x 51 NATO, approximately 240 rounds per quarter. NIST currently utilizes Remington and Federal, however, equivalent brands are acceptable. Responses must include all of the following information: Agency name and address, Agency Contracting Officer, telephone number and e-mail address of Agency Contracting Officer; Contractor Name, Contractor address, telephone number and e-mail address of Contractor Point of Contact; Contract Number, Period of Performance, and a summary of the products authorized for purchase under the contract. All information must be submitted to Carol A. Wood, Contract Specialist, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Acquisition Management Division, 100 Bureau Drive, Mail Stop 1640, Gaithersburg, MD 20899-1640. Submissions must be received by 3:00 p.m. local time on October 1, 2007. E-mail submissions are acceptable. Contractors shall identify their business size, (small, small-disadvantaged, hub-zone, large etc.) in accordance with North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code identified in their contract/agreement.
