Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 3), James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx New York, Network Acquisitions and Logistics program is currently seeking firms with the ability to provide "SWITCHGEAR SERVICE AND TESTING" services for 480 Switchgear and testing provide all labor and materials to perform routine maintenance and testing (per NETA standards) on the equipment in the Network Switchgear rooms. Service, secondary injection test, and re-calibrate (65) sixty-five low voltage air circuit breaker during 13, early morning, two hour service windows. The work scope will require each breaker to opened (one at a time), racked out on the cubicle rails, serviced, secondary injection tested, and racked back in to be returned to service. This scope of work does not require the bus to be de-energized nor is any cubicle work performed. Services and test (4) four services protectors and network transformers during straight time hours. The network transformers will be required to be de-energized when the protector and transformer are to be serviced. These items must meet the specifications for the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Road Bronx, New York 10468. Applicants must have at least FIVE YEAR OF SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE. Preferred if the applicant had provided same or similar services to other VA Medical Center throughout the United States. The applicant must also provide "REFERENCES" for providing same or similar service. All contractors must list of all description of modifications to be provided Firms desiring consideration shall email directly to the Contracting Officer referencing the following in the subject field, "SWITCHGEAR SERVICE AND TESTING", then contain the following information within the body of the e-mail name of firm, complete address, phone & fax number of contact. When a small business receives an award as prime contractor as a result of a small business set-aside solicitation, the small business prime will be required to comply with FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on subcontracting, which states that at least 50 percent of the cost of contract performance incurred for personnel shall be expended for employees of the concern. The contract requires that the selected firm have an on-line access to E-mail via the Internet for routine exchange of correspondence.
