- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 3), James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx New York, Network Acquisitions and Logistics program is currently seeking a firm that can "DISCHARGE AND INSTALL OIL TANKS" the following two [2] Day Tanks and install new day tanks sized 50 and 100 gallons, utilizing V.A. and local codes and requirements pertaining to oil storage tanks. 1. Tank #8A-Building 100- Life Support Generator- 100 gallon tank 2. Tank #5A-Building #107 NHCU-50 gallon tank Install new 50 and 100 gallon tanks to replace the above tanks. These tanks are to conform to the following: Heavy gauge steel tank, interior protective coating, and rust proofed and finished painted exterior. Tank 1 inch NPT fittings are for engine supply, engine return, overflow and alternate engine return. Other NPT's include one 2 inch NPT for normal vent, one emergency vent NPT sized as appropriate, and one 3/8 inch NPT basin drain. Tank includes a removable non-corrosive cover and a 4-1/2 inch square inspection port below the electrical controls. Also included is double wall tank, fuel in basin switch, 2 inch NPT mushroom style vent cap, and 2 inch NPT pressure relief cap. Other requirements are 1/3 hp motor with a high lift bronze gear pump [2 gpm] An electronic control module to include the following: Fuel level gauge, ECM function signal, fuel in basin alarm, high fuel level warning, pump control, critical low level shut off, low fuel level warning. Furnish and install all Necessary connections, fittings and valves. Leave the site operational and broom clean. The firm will be responsible for providing all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies and equipment, and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective performance of these tanks. Items must meet the specifications for the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Road Bronx, New York 10468. Applicants must have at least FIVE YEAR OF SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE. Preferred if the applicant had provided same or similar services to other VA Medical Center throughout the United States. The applicant must also provide "REFERENCES" for providing same or similar products. Bronx VA Medical Center is looking for a firm who can provide same or equal brand (Product). All contractors must list of all description of modifications to be provided Firms desiring consideration shall email directly to the Contracting Officer referencing the following in the subject field, "DISCHARGE AND INSTALL OIL TANKS", then contain the following information within the body of the e-mail name of firm, complete address, phone & fax number of contact. When a small business receives an award as prime contractor as a result of a small business set-aside solicitation, the small business prime will be required to comply with FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on subcontracting, which states that at least 50 percent of the cost of contract performance incurred for personnel shall be expended for employees of the concern. The contract requires that the selected firm have an on-line access to E-mail via the Internet for routine exchange of correspondence.
