- Description
- The US Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service in Kimberly, ID has a requirement for two complete grinding mills for the reduction of analytical laboratory (soil) samples, to replace parts and supplement existing grinders. The following should be included: Jar and beaker chutes, Three sieves (1/2, 1 and 2mm), Stainless steel beaker(s), 3 or more 1 pint glass jars, 1 set of wrenches, 1 grease gun and grease. Specifications as follows: Moving parts completely enclosed, 7 3/4" diameter milling chamber with lid, 2 1/4" diameter sample input, 50-1,000 gram sample volume, single speed - 800 rpm at 60hZ or 667 rpm at 50 Hz, 1HP continuous duty motor with safety switch, all steel construction, benchtop unit, clearance from receiver to base should be at least 140mm. The knives must be independently adjustable and stainless for milling corrosive materials Equipment which will meet our needs: Wiley Mill Model 4 Benchtop 1 HP #T4274E15 qty 2 Knife set revolving SS set of 4 #TP4274s70-159EA qty 2 Knife set SS set of 6 #TP4274s701158ea qty 12 An RFQ is not available for this requirement the USDA intends on negotiating with the only know source Thomas Scientific.
