Description
The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a firm fixed price hourly contract to IMPACT LLC. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes. The Purchase Order will be made on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures and 13.501 (A) - Sole source acquisitions for the following, full time, services to be performed within the WashingtonDC/Maryland Area. WORK TO BE PERFORMED: The Contractor shall provide Preliminary Evaluation and Development, Consultation Interviews, and Consultation Meetings to the MedWatch Partners Program. This will broaden the current MedWatch Partners Program and strengthen communications between the partners. The vendor has worked extensively in these areas and thus possesses an understanding of the procedures, problems and timeliness aspect to these projects. Having the same vendor continue to do this will ensure that critical work is not interrupted and is completed in a manner that furthers the mission of FDA. The proposed source is for commercial services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. This action is proposed on a sole source basis because it is a follow-on contract where the vendor has developed procedures that help expedite critical requests and there being a substantial duplication of cost to the government interest by responding to this requirement within 5 calendar days after date of publication of this notice. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The period of performance is for Twelve (12) months. Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to the award of contract. You may register by going to www.ccr.gov. You will need your Dunn and Bradstreet number and banking information. The anticipated award date September 21, 2007; however, dates in this announcement are subject to change. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items applies to this solicitation. The following agenda has been attached to this provision: None Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications Commercial Items. The clause FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, Commercial Item applies to this acquisition. The clause FAR 52.214-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders, Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. All information received by 2:00pm EST on September 13, 2007 will be considered by the government. All questions must be email no later than September 11, 2007 to Kimberly.davis@fda.hhs.gov.
