Description

Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System, 150 South Huntington Ave, Boston, MA--Furnish all labor, material, equipment, supplies, supervision and transportation necessary to: test the critical components of the electrical distribution system to include high voltage mechanical switches, circuit breakers, oil filled transformers and large dry type transformers. The work will be scheduled to minimize the impact on the facility as extensive electrical power shutdowns will be required. Most of the work to be done on weekends or after normal working hours. Contractor must be regularly engaged in testing of electrical equipment devices, installations and systems. Contractors shall have technical training and past performance related to working experience in maintenance, inspection and testing of the Electrical Power Distribution System and its components in healthcare, industrial, educational and commercial facilities for a minimum of five (5) continuous years. Contractors shall be certified by the International Electrical Testing Association (NETA) as NETA Certified Technicians and shall have completed the OSHA approved 10 hour construction safety training. The issue date for the request for proposals is September 10, 2007 with a bid opening date of September 20, 2007.
