Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; propos als are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. W912CZ-07-T-0047 is being issued as a Request for Quote, which incorporates provisions and clauses for commercial items in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-018. This acq uisition is reserved for small business concern. The associated NAICS code for this acquisition is 325188 small business standard size is 1,000 employees. Line Item 0001: Potassium Permanganate, Quantity 475 (55 lbs), Line Item 0002: Sodium Carbonate, 50 lbs Container, Quantity 2,000. Line Item 0101: 1st Option Potassium Permanganate, Quantity 475 (55 lbs); Line Item 0102: 1st Option Sodium Carbonate, 50 lbs Container, Quantity 2,000. Line Item 0201: 2nd Option Potassium Permanganate, Quantity 475 (55 lbs); Line Item 0202: 2nd Option, Sodium Carbonate, 50 lbs Container, and Quantity 2,000. STATEMENT OF WORK FOR POTASSIUM PERMANGANATE, 55 LBS, and SODIUM CARBONATE. Contractor shall provide all transportation and other necessary materials to supply this requirement for Potassium Permanganate used for oxidizing water for the Water Treatment Plant at Fort Wainwright, AK. The contractor shall also pick up empty totes from the same Bldg location when full totes are delivered. A) Approximate consumption wil l be approximately 22,000 minimum to 26,125 lbs maximum and 1,500 to 2,000 a year, respectively. B) The contractor will be notified telephonically when nine (2) empty totes are on hand at the Water Plant, Bldg 3565. Upon notification, the contractor shal l within four (4) calendar days deliver the drums/containers and remove the empty drums/containers. C) All picks up and delivery under this contract will occur between 0800 and 1400 hours Monday thru Friday, and no delivery on Holidays. D) Names of person s authorized to place calls under this contract will be provided in the award. E) Upon initial delivery of the first time 40 (55 lbs drum) 96 (50 Lbs container), the Water Plant will provide empty potassium permanganate drums in exchange for full drums ea ch delivery thereafter. F) Since empty drums will be exchanged for full drums, it is requested that this contract be offered without a deposit charge for drums. G) Delivery Bldg 3565, Fort Wainwright, AK. The following provisions in their latest editions apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation, Commercial Items (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the s olicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, lowest price technically acceptable and delivery. Offerors shall include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certifications-- Commercial Items, with their quotes. Offeror s hall include a completed copy of DFARS 252.225-7000, Buy American Act Balance of Payments Program Certificate, if applicable.
