- This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for the purchase of commercial service, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only s olicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number W911S8-07-Q-0073 is applicable and is issued as a request for quotations. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in eff ect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-20 and DCN 20070906. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business with a NAICS Code of 336321, Vehicular Lighting Equipment Manufacturing, and a corresponding size standard of 500 employees is applica ble. The description of the commercial supply is Telescopic Emergency Lighting Towers and reads as follows: CLIN 0001, 3 each, Command Light Knight Telescopic Light Tower, model KL-450, 6 x 500 watt lamps, 66,600 lumen light output, 120VAC, features: one -touch auto park, umbilical remote controller with 15ft cord, all electric motors, continuous 360 degree rotation, maintenance free, five year warranty, NFPA 1901 compliant. CLIN 0002, 4 each, Command Light Z-Lift Utility Lift, model ZL375, no light bars installed (lift only), elevates 40 inches in 10 seconds, 0-90 degree rotation (right or left), single pendant control via umbilical remote, 12VDC, 1,000 pound capacity. See www.commandlight.com for more info rmation. CLIN 0003, 1 lot, Freight and Shipping (as required) to Fort Lewis, WA 98433. Required delivery date is 30 days from contract award date. The selection resulting from this request for quotations will be made on the basis of the lowest priced, t echnically acceptable quote from a responsible quoter with acceptable or neutral past performance. Once the Contracting Officer has decided to whom an order will be issued, a unilateral order will be issued using a SF 1449. A purchase order will be in exis tence once the Contracting Officer has signed the order. Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. An addendum to this provision is applicable, in which paragraphs (g) and (h) of FAR 52.212-1 are deleted. Wherever the words offer, proposal, offerors, or similar terms are used in this solicitation or any provision, they shall be read to mean quote, quotation, quoter, vendor or similar corresponding term to reflect that this solicitation is a Request for Quot ations, not a Request for Proposals or an Invitation for Bids.
