Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Fort Riley, KS has a requirement for: A handicap accessable, special child needs playground. The Contractor shall provide all necessary supplies, services, personnel and materials for the new playground equipment. Playground area will be with a rubberiz ed mulch fall surface for the McCormick Park Playground. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-18, effective on June 30, 2007. This requirement is set-aside for Small Business. The applicabl e NAICS code is 713940 with a size standard of $6.5. Extended Description: General location is 3230 McCormick Road in Camp Forsyth, Ft Riley, Ks. Area is approximately 60 ft x 55 ft but additional space is available if required for such things as swing safety zones. Products quoted will conform to an existing playground that is approximately 200 yards South East of the proposed site. Ground cover within the play structure area will consist of 54,000 lbs. Play Turf Evolution or equal safety surfacing, Color will be Redwood or similar. Contractor will install a new ADA accessible sidewalk about 70 ft long x 5 ft wide. Sidewalk will be made of concrete substances. Contractor will insure that proper grading and drainage of the play area is completed. In Accordance With (IAW) FAR 11.104, Contractor may quote brand name or equal. If quoting equal, Contractor shall provide literature with its quote showing equal specification. Contractorshall also ensure that all equipment and materials meet the guidelines set forth in the  Handbook for Public Playground Safety-. Materials for play surfaces must meet the American Society for Testing and Materials (ATSM) standards and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) guidelines. Your price shall be FOB desti nation. Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination. We prefer to make payment by Direct Deposit or other Electronic means. Contractormust be registered in the CCR (Central Contractor Registration) (http://www.ccr.gov) and in ORCA (Online Representat ions and Certs Application https://orca.bpn.gov) prior to award. Award will be made to the best value; technical, warranty, past performance, price proposal and other non price factors. Contractors shall submit commercially available literature, on your q uote that demonstrates that all of the above capabilities are met. Limit quotes and literature to 5MB. All quotes will specify a completion schedule as a part of the quote information.
