Description
Modification: This modification is issued to supply the answers to questions proposed and extend the proposal due date. This action was originally publicized August 21, 2007. The proposal due date is extended to Wednesday, September 12, 2007, 12 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Questions/Answers: (1.) Will the USMC unload and set machine in place or is the Contractor Responsible? Answer: The contractor is responsible (2.) Do they want to use their fork lift with our technician on site to supervise? Answer: NO (3.) If contractor required to unload and set in place: (A.) How wide and how tall is overhead door? Answer: H= 14' 6 " W = 14' (B.) How high is overhead in building and are there any obstructions between door and area to be installed? Answer: Height in building is approx 15' 6" at lowest point, sloping upwards to a cathedral ceiling, total height not available, possible obstructions include several roof supports. Answer: Corrugated metal roof. (C. ) Will government Provide fork lift or crane? or must contractor provide. Answer: Contractor provided. (4.) Is machine being installed on standard commercial flooring? Answer: Concrete hardstand. (5.) Where is dust collector to be installed (inside or out side of building?) and how far (exactly) from the machine. Answer: Outside of the building, approx four feet from the side of the building, will require approx 10-12 feet of ducting (6.) Is contractor to provide and connect ducting from machine to dust collector? Answer: yes (7.) Will USMC provide Air and Electricity at site of machine for Contractor to make final hook up or will Government connect utilities? Answer: Air and electrical is already on location, contractor must connect to utilities.
