Description

USCG MLCP proposes to contract for Drydock and Repair of USCGC SPAR, a 225 foot buoy tender, homeported in Kodiak, AK. Work will be accomplished during the period of 27 February through 6 May 2008, at a certified contractor's facility. Some of the work items included are: Chain locker clean and inspect, hull plating underwater body inspect, propulsion shaft rope guard inspect, sea bay clean and inspect, propulsion shaft seals inspect and clean, controllable pitch propeller sys maintenance, ship service diesel generator overhaul, sea strainers, buoy crane, single point davit, anchor windlass repair, buoy decks preserve, temporary services and drydock. On or about 3 Oct 2007, an invitation for bid(IFB) will be issued. This acquisition is set-aside for small businesses only. The solicitation, specifications and other pertinent information will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. In order to open and download the specifications bidders must be registered at www.FedTeds.gov. Bidders are encouraged to register immediately as authorization to access these documents may take up to 48 hours from the time of registration. Drawings may be requested through FedTeds.
