Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, Little Rock, Arkansas, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Biosense Webster, a Johnson & Johnson Company of Diamond Bar, CA to furnish the Cartomerge Image Integration Medical Systems Software Module for use with VA-owned Carto® XP Navigation System. This software module allows for importation of pre-acquired MRI and CT images direct from scanners or from radiology workstations, provides a semi-automated image segmentation package, and allows for catheter icon registration to pre-acquired images. On-site training for technicians and Dell workstation for Carto® XP System with V8 base version are included. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 339112 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Biosense Webster is classified as a large business concern and is the sole distributor for this equipment and accompanying software module. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Office within five (5) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System will proceed with sole source negotiations with Biosense Webster.
