- It is the intent of this agency to award a sole source contract. Numbered Note 22 applies to this notice. This agency intends to award a purchase order to Shavlik, 2665 Long Lake Rd. Suite 400, Roseville, MN 55113. 6 MDG requires Update Expert to Protect Upgrade. SKPA-RS5X-COMP. Base year and 4 option years. A contract for Update Expert will be awarded to Shavlik following no response back to this notice of intent. The purchase of Update Expert must be done through Shavlik because they are the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Update Expert is a proprietary program. This program is developed, sold, supported and trained by Shavlik. There is no other vendor or company authorized to develop, customize, support, sell or train Update Expert. No other company would be able to provide a maintenance/ technical support agreement for this software. Market research was conducted for the purchase of Update Expert and Shavlik is the only contractor found able to supply this item as we require. If no response to this notice is received by 10:00 AM EST on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, the award for this Update Expert will be made to Shavlik.
