- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) No, FA7012-07-T-0073. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-20. This is a Total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System code is 532310 at $6.5 million size standard. The contractor shall provide staging and draping services in accordance with below Statement of Work at Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA. Statement of Work Contractor shall provide appropriate number of trained persons and equipment (see list below) necessary to accomplish all numbered items listed in the Statement of Work. 1. Vendor shall provide the following equipment. The equipment shall be broken up in to four different staging areas, two different pipe and drape areas, and a separate location for the traveler track curtain. Staging: 1 Stage measuring 24? W x 20? D x 2? H. The stage shall be covered with black astro-turf or carpet. It shall be skirted on three sides with black fabric. It shall have two sets of steps. This stage shall be referred to the WWII Stage. Rear of stage shall have kick rail. 1 Stage measuring 20? W x 12? D x 2? H. The stage shall be covered with black astro-turf or carpet. It shall be skirted on three sides with black fabric. It shall have one set of steps. This stage shall be referred to the Korean Stage. Rear of stage shall have kick rail. 1 Stage measuring 16? W x 8? D x 2? H. The stage shall be covered with black astro-turf or carpet. It shall be skirted on three sides with black fabric. It shall have one set of steps. This stage shall be referred to the WWI. Rear of stage shall have kick rail. . 1 Stage measuring 8? W x 8? D x 3? H. The stage shall be covered with black astro-turf or carpet. It shall be skirted on three sides with black fabric. It shall have two sets of steps with hand rails. This stage shall be referred to the Podium Stage. The rear of the stage shall have a safety rail. 4 Mini Stages measuring 2? W x 2? D x 16? H. The stage shall be black and skirted with black fabric. Each stage shall have an 8? step. These stages shall be referred to as narrator stages and shall be placed in separate areas. Curtain: 1 Traveling curtain system measuring 20? H x 40? W min. Each half of the curtain shall be opaque and black. The system must be rigged and travel to normal theatrical industry standards. The track shall be rigged to truss that is supported by two Genie Super Towers ST 25. Vendor shall provide plywood pads for the outriggers. All of this equipment to be provided by the vendor. Pipe and Drape: 1 60? W x 10? H Pipe and Drape runs. Drape shall be high quality, and used as backdrop at the podium stage and surrounding area. Drape shall be dark blue. 2 50? W x 16? H Pipe and Drape runs. Drape shall be black and opaque. Drape shall be set up into two separate areas for equipment storage. Podium: 1 Plexi-glass podium 2. Schedule Load-in All equipment 24SEP07 1730hrs Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Center Rehearsal All equipment 24SEP07 2200hrs Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Center Strike All equipment* 25SEP07 0200hrs Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Center Restore All equipment** 25SEP07 1500hrs Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Center Show All equipment 25SEP07 2000hrs Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Center Load-Out All equipment 25SEP07 2300hrs Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Center * Strike shallbe breaking down all staging and moving equipment to storage areas in the museum. Traveler Curtain shall remain in place. **Restore shall begin in stages. WWII shall begin at 1500 hrs, Korean at 1600hrs and the remaining stages at 1730hrs. Each stage must be restored within the following timeline: WWII by 1600hrs, Korean by 1700hrs, WWI by 1800hrs, Podium by 1830hrs. 3. All daily times shall be coordinated with MSgt Jeb Eaton (202) 767-4095. All prospective vendors shall ensure they can meet the daily schedule prior to placement of bid. THE GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT REIMBURSE RESPONDENTS FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH SUBMISSION OF THE INFORMATION BEING REQUESTED OR REIMBURSE EXPENSES INCURRED TO INTERESTED PARTIES FOR RESPONSES TO THIS SOLICITATION. THE GOVERNMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS SOLICITATION, EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE CLOSING DATE. INSPECTON AND ACCEPTANCE TERMS: Contractors standard inspection procedures shall be used. Delivery/Acceptance will be at The Udvar-Hazy Center, Chantilly, VA 20151. A copy of the Statement of Work will be provided to any contractors who request it. All interested contractors are to submit a copy of their quotation by the solicitation due date.
