- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition, 30 Bomb Fuze Cable Systems to DCX-CHOL Enterprises Inc Elecsys Division, Pekin, IL 61554. The bomb coil cables are in support of the Mk 80 series general purpose bombs. Elecsys Division possesses the unique capability and compatibility to design, manufacture, test, and certify bomb cables under one roof. The coil cables are currently undergoing a Product Improvement Program upgrade to improve aircrew survivability, reliability, reduce duded ordnance, and increase combat lethality. Elecsys Division has been contracted to manufacture prototype cables and the prototype design is proprietary to Elecsys Division. Any firms believing that they can provide the product may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the product without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
