Description
This solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil/ While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the procedures at FAR 13. Synopsis exception FAR 5.202(a)(13) applies and Solicitation Number N00164-07-T-0351 ------------------------http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm is hereby issued as an attachment hereto. This is a sole source to Labarge, Inc., 1505 Mainden Lane, Joplin, MO 64802-0000. This is the only SP certified supplier for the window. Line Item: 0001, 80 each, Dwg. No. 53711-6029148. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and/or NECO for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. Offers may be faxed to Marcia Ferguson, FAX 812-854-3465 or e- mailed to marcia.ferguson@navy.mil . All required information must be received on or before 9/10/07 at 2:00 p.m local time. Note: Molding materials for "each" production batch of materials shall be sent to the procuring activity for testing to insure the material meets all of the requirements of Drawing 53711-6029148, ASTM-D-2000, and has proper dispersion. Test specimens for "each" production batch of molding materials shall be supplied to the procuring activity as follows: Three ASTM-D-3182 TEST SLABS, (6"X6"X.077") Three ASTM-D-395 TYPE 1 COMPRESSION SET BUTTONS, Method B. The Non-Nutrient test samples shall be tested per ASTM G21 or MIL-STD-810, Method 508. Molding material shall meet all requirement for each batch of material and technical approval shall be provided to the Contractor prior to production of parts. Any change in materials or change in source of supply of materials also requires new submittal of samples for complete testing.
