Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to acquire on a sole source basis under Simplified Acquisition Procedures the following services provided by Pitney Bowes on an open market basis: maintenance for the period October 4, 2007 to October 3, 2008 of the following Pitney Bowes equipment previously purchased by SSA and installed at SSA's National Computer Center (NCC), Woodlawn Maryland: one Pitney Bowes Flowmaster Model ZX03. No other source of maintenance for this machine is known to be available. This is an announcement of SSA's intent to issue an order under Simplified Acquisition procedures to Pitney Bowes for the maintenance of the Pitney Bowes Flowmaster Model ZX03; SSA will not issue a solicitation. SSA will not respond to requests for solicitation copies and will not pay for information received in response to this announcement. Responses must provide sufficient information for SSA to determine that a firm other than Pitney Bowes can provide maintenance for the Pitney Bowes Flowmaster Model ZX03 at the NCC. If SSA does not receive an acceptable response to this announcement within 5 days of its publication, it will issue an order to Pitney Bowes to maintain the Pitney Bowes Flowmaster Model ZX03. Respondents should refer to Pitney Bowes Flowmaster Maintenance.
