- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), has a requirement for DRYDOCK repairs to be performed at successful contractor?s facility. The performance period will be 53 calendar days with a start date on or about November 15, 2007 and ending on or about January 7, 2008. This acquisition is for DRYDOCK repairs to the NOAA Ship NANCY FOSTER, a 186 foot, 40 ft beam (molded); Depth Molded to Main Deck 16 foot. Vessel's homeport is Charleston, SC. DRYDOCK BASIC ITEMS include: 0001 General Requirements; 0002 Temporary Services; 0003 Drydocking; 0004 Hull Preservation; 0005 Z Drive Maintenance; 0006 Rudder Inspection; 0007 Bow Thruster Repairs; 0008 Annual Fire Fighting Systems Cert.; 0009 Misc. Steel Repairs; 0010 Hvac Mods.; 0011 Aft Crane Inspection/Testing; 0012 Forward Crane Inspection/Testing; 0013 Misc. Piping Repairs And Mods.; 0014 MSD System Modification. All work shall be performed in accordance with detailed specifications and referenced NOAA Standard Specifications to be provided with the solicitation. Vessel will be available for inspection October 8, 2007 at Pier Papa, Old Navy Base, North Charleston, SC. Arrangements for inspections can be made by contacting Jamie LeCompte at 843-297-3426. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. The IFB posting will appear on or about September 28, 2007 and will be issued on a full and open basis. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract utilizing sealed-bid procedures outlined in FAR 14. The solicitation will include a liquidated damages clause; as well as, a requirement for bid, performance, and payment bonds. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. Bidders must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. Additionally, each bidder must obtain, and provide with the bid, a DUNs number.
