Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a Market Survey to determine if there are sufficient sources available for a competitive procurement for 313 each EV501 Environmental Alarm Equipment monitors. This equipment is used to monitor select environmental conditions at remote FAA sites and transmit the digital data from sites to monitor points. The equipment provides the change in status of selected environmental equipment as they occur and transmits the data to selected FAA Monitor Locations. The units are wall-mounted monitoring and transmitting devices that utilize the cellular network. They are used in FAA facilities to monitor and report status of commercial power and room temperature. The EV-501 Environmental Alarm equipment is manufactured by Stealth Laboratories in Hickory, North Carolina and marketed by Uplink, which is a division of Numerex. There are no suitable substitutes. The units are to be shipped to Herndon, VA 20171 FOB destination within 30 days of order. This announcement is not a screening information request (SIR) or request for proposal (RFP) of any kind. It is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Further, the FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. Interested vendors must submit their contact information and demonstrate their ability to provide the monitors to the Contracting Specialist no later than 2:00 p.m. September 17, 2007 Eastern Time. All responses to this Market Survey must be in writing, on company letterhead, and must demonstrate that the company meets the corporate experience minimum requirements. Limit responses to 5 pages.
