Description
Amendment 1 is issued on September 12, 2007 to correct the NSN number. The correct NSN number is 6140-01-291-6488. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has a requirement for an estimated annual quantity of 1100 each lead acid batteries, NSN 6140-01-291-6488, manufactured in accordance with FAA Specification FAA-E-2826, Wilcox drawing number 045047 and the salient characteristics provided, all attached. The batteries are required in support of the Aircraft Instrument Landing System (ILS). The proposed Indefinite Delivery/Requirements type contract with Economic Price Adjustment will include option provisions to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods. Requirements will be placed on an as needed basis. Each requirement will be direct ship from the contractor to the facility as orders are received. Manufacturer's standard commercial warranty is required at no additional cost to the FAA. This market survey is to request information that will enable the FAA to make a screening decision to determine qualified firms that have the ability to provide these batteries. The FAA reserves the right to add incumbent contractors and/or other sources which meet the criteria and have performed satisfactorily on previous procurements. Accordingly, it has been determined that only firms meeting the following minimum requirements will be solicited: Responses are solicited only from small business concerns. If the results of the market survey determine a sufficient number of Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB/8a) are capable of providing these batteries, the requirement will be set-aside exclusively for SEDB small businesses. (1) To be considered the contractor must be classified as a small business under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 335911 - 500 employees. (2) Complete/submit the Business Declaration form attached with your response. All interested sources must submit their Business Declaration form in writing (FAX No. 405-954-9219) or via the e-mail (connie.m.houpt@faa.gov) by September 25, 2007. Responses shall be clearly labeled as follows: Attn: Connie Houpt, Market Survey 07-63163. All inquiries regarding the market survey should be directed to the Contracting Officer, Connie Houpt, in writing via e-mail. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
