Description

The United States Air Forces in Europe intends to acquire on an other than full and open competition basis from Vecna Technologies, with Patient Kiosk Deployment support to include assembling, testing, shipping, installing, deploying, and supporting kiosks at various clinics throughout Europe. Specifically this will include integrating the vKiosk with the Department of Defense's MUMPS-based hospital information system. The procurement is being processed through other than full and open competition pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Vecna Technologies, Inc. since they are the only known provider of this technology at this time. Support will be provided for a base period of six months with no option periods. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded as a result. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based on the responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this notice.
