Description
THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION The United States Government hereby rescinds it?s requirement to lease a minimum of 8,000 square feet to a maximum of 12,000 square feet of office and related space in an existing building or a minimum of 3 acres to a maximum of 8 acres of undeveloped property within or near the City limits of Port Angeles or Sequim with 50 on-site parking spaces. The United States Government hereby modifies it?s requirement to lease a minimum of 6,500 square feet to a maximum of 8,000 square feet of office and related space in an existing building or a minimum of 1 acre to a maximum of 2 acres of unimproved property within or near the City limits of Port Angeles or Sequim. On-site parking is required for 14 vehicles. For unimproved properties, the preference is for a relatively level property with potable water and access to nearby utilities, e.g. electricity, telephone service, and septic system or access to sewer service. If any interested party has a parcel of land but utilities and services are not accessible, the owner must provide these improvements. Unimproved and improved properties shall not have known or suspected contamination. The property should be available for occupancy on or before December 31, 2008. The lease base term will be five (5) years with one or more five (5) year option(s). The leased premises must provide unencumbered access to paved streets with two points for ingress/egress. It is the Government?s intention to use this property as a U.S. Border Protection Station with all associated functions. The Government?s future improvements to the leased site include but are not limited to: installing a perimeter fence, modular buildings (for unimproved property), and paved parking areas. Interested parties should submit information concerning their properties to the following address no later than October 5, 2007 to: DHS/Customs and Border Protection Laguna Facility Center 24000 Avila Road, Room 5020 Laguna Niguel, CA 92677 Attn: Jane Griffin Phone: 949-425-7098 Fax: 949-360-2985 E-Mail: jane.griffin@dhs.gov
