- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) intends to make a sole source award to Smiths Detection for maintenance and support services to maintain 16 IonScan 400B dual mode drug detection units and 6 Sabre 2000 and Sabre 4000 handheld drug detection units located at various BOP institutions throughout the contiguous United States and Hawaii. The performance period will be from Date of Award through September 30, 2008. The solicitation will be available on or about September 17, 2007, and will be distributed solely through the website at www.fedbizopps.gov. The North American Industry Classification System code is 334519. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed through the website. The anticipated receipt of quotes is September 21, 2007. The Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition will be posted along with the solicitation. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit quotes equally with other organization for contracts for which they are eligible.
