- 1. 10MSG/LGCB, Operational Contracting Office, USAF Academy, CO intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order to Ansari Islamic Books & Services, Small Business, for 11 each JMOC Muslin Kits the United States Air Force Academy Chaplains office. 2. The North American Industrial Classification System (NACIS) number is 453998 and the business size standard is $6.5 million. This synopsis is for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. 3. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and 13 procedures will be utilized for this acquisition. Note 22 applies, however, all offers received within 7 days (in lieu of 45 days) after date of publication of the original synopsis will be considered by the Government. The closing date of this synopsis is 11:00 a.m. Mountain Time (MT) 11 Sep 07. 4. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions).
