Description
The Fort Bragg Directorate of Contracting intends to release a solicitation for the remanufacture, upgrade, and modification of one E-One Rescue Body HAZMAT 50 Response Vehicle on Fort Bragg, NC. Contractor will provide all personnel, equipment, fa cilities, supplies, services, and materials to extend the useful life of the vehicle for an additional ten years by upgrading all capabilities, and correcting numerous deficiencies that have developed through routine use. The requirement includes making a rrangements for and shipping existing apparatus to contractors facility and shipping of refurbished vehicle back to Fort Bragg, NC, replace engine and automatic transmission, install a ward no smoke system, install INSTA-Chain snow and ice traction system , replace existing alternator, rework or replace wiring harness from engine to cab dash area, fabricate a cord reel compartment at rear of vehicle, furnish and install a Hannay, series 1600 cord reel, install 200 feet of yellow 10/3 electrical cord, instal l portable junction box and junction box holder, install two 120V flood lights, install a high idle switch, install perimeter scene lights, install nine roll up compartment doors, and four slide-out tilt-down trays, and complete refurbishment of cab interi or, etc. This action will be conducted as a commercial service acquisition in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13.5, and is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price contract with a period of performance of 18 0 days from date of award. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 811310. The small business size standard is $6.5M. The Government anticipates issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ), W91247-07-T- , on or about 17 September 2007 with a tentative closing date of 24 September 2007. The RFQ and any amendments will be available for downloading at the Army Single Face to Industry website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. Potential quoters are responsible for mointoring this site for release of the solicitation and any amendments. All quoters must be registered with Central Contractor Registry (CCR) per FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration. Quoters must also complete Representations and Certifica tions on-line at www.bpn.gov prior to submitting a quote.
