Description
The Fort Bragg Directorate of Contracting intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with Fort Bragg Billeting and Landmark Inn for on-post lodging for Medical Hold Soldiers in support of the Wounded Warriors Program. The Garrison Comman der has mandated that soldiers recovering from injuries sustained in Operation Iraqi Freedom a/o Operation Enduring Freedom be physically located on Fort Bragg for medical and rehabilitative services at Womack Army Medical Center. It is pertinent that all soldiers be physically located on post to better serve their medical needs. There are only two lodging facilities on post, Fort Bragg Billeting and Landmark Inn. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 721110, size standard is $5 million. The period of performance is 1 October 2007 through 30 September 2008 with four one-year option periods if exercised. The contractor shall furnish facilities, furniture, equipment, supplies, management, supervision, and personnel to provide l odging accommodations as specified for U.S. Active Army, reservist and National Guard Soldiers in a medical hold status assigned or attached to Fort Bragg NC. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR Part 12 , Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give wr itten notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with sole source procurement with Fort Bragg Billeting and Landmark I nn. Responses are due by September 15, 2007, 3:00 p.m. local standard time. Responses may be submitted via e-mail to the following address: audrey.hammonds@us.army.mil.
